In the app: your creativity stays local
FontSoul is an offline handwriting-to-font tool. Images, original strokes and drafts, glyphs, project names, author details you enter, and editing settings are processed and stored on your device. The app has no accounts, ads, analytics, or remote crash reporting, and does not upload your images or projects to the developer.
Choosing, saving, and sharing files
The app accesses images and backups you select through the system picker. This version does not request camera, full photo library, storage read, or internet permissions. When you save or share templates, OTF fonts, and backups, the system gives the file to your selected destination or app, which handles it under its own policies.
Local storage, backups, and deletion
Projects live in the app’s local storage. Android automatic cloud backup and device transfer are disabled; export your own project backups to keep them. Deleting a project removes its local assets that are no longer shared. Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local projects. Delete exported fonts or backups separately from wherever you saved them.
On the website: a little space in your browser
This website uses no ads, analytics, third-party tracking, or online forms. It displays in English and does not save language preferences. Playground doodles are held in browser memory and cleared on refresh or close. Saving downloads an image; it does not upload your strokes. Fonts and images are served by this site.
When you browse or download a file, the hosting server may receive normal request information such as an IP address, browser information, and requested path. Actual server logging, retention, and hosting practices must be confirmed by the operator when the site is deployed.
